Tips of the Month - April, 2008 QuickBooks Merging Accounts Over time we realize that some of the accounts in QuickBooks represent the same category but with a slightly different name, i.e. Office Supplies & Office Supplies Expense. These accounts can be merged together. Caution must be used though as once accounts are merged it is irreversible. To merge accounts: Go to Lists    Chart of Accounts Highlight the account you want to merge into another (delete) Click Activities    Edit Change the Account Number/Name to the Number/Name that    You want to keep (QB” will ask, & “Do you want to merge?”    Yes The activity for both accounts now will be included in the one account.  TAX More IRS Scams The IRS has issued another warning about e-mail scams.  The IRS never communicates with taxpayers via email.
